Scanner
Point, match, price — no typing.
TCGPal identifies supported trading cards from your phone camera in under a second, including set, number, and variant. Review the match, see a live market price, and add it to your collection. Instant ID scans are included on the free plan; AI grades are a separate daily allowance.
Frame the card
Open the scanner and keep all four corners in view. On-device AI reads the card before you can blink.
Confirm the match
Check set, number, and variant. No scanner is perfect — a two-second review beats a wrong binder slot.
Price or grade
See live market value, add it to your collection, or spend one of your daily AI grades on condition.
Built for stacks, not one-off lookups
Scan a pile at a show or empty a binder at home. Inventory mode keeps you in the camera so you are not bouncing back to a search box between every card. Identification does not spend a grade — save those for cards that might actually be worth a slab.

Variant-aware, not just the art
Holos, reverse holos, first editions, and language variants are different cards with different prices. TCGPal matches the printing when the photo and catalog allow it, then shows the price for that exact copy — not a generic name match.

Instant ID vs AI grade
Card identification and condition grading are separate steps in TCGPal.

FAQ
Questions about this
Is there a monthly scan limit?
Instant card identification is included on the free plan with no monthly quota. AI condition grades are separate: the free plan includes 3 grades per day.
Does it identify every card perfectly?
No scanner does. Results depend on lighting, glare, the printing, and current catalog coverage. Always confirm the set, number, and variant before you save a match.
Does scanning work in the browser?
You can identify and grade cards on the web by uploading a photo. Instant, on-device camera scanning — the card is named as you point — is in the iOS and Android apps.
What happens after a match?
You see the card, live market price, and a chance to add it to your collection or run an AI grade. Identification and grading are separate steps, so a quick price check does not have to spend a daily grade.
